1.What are cookies?
Cookie and tracking-consent requirements differ by jurisdiction. SYENU will apply consent or preference controls where legally required and may vary cookie behaviour by user region.
Cookies are small text files or identifiers stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies may include local storage, SDK identifiers, pixels and comparable browser/device technologies.
2.Who operates SYENU
SYENU is operated by TIGER AND PARTNERS (PTY) LTD (Registration No. 2021/560984/07). Cookie and privacy questions may be sent to hello@syenu.com.
3.Categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent approach |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login/session, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, consent records and core account functionality. | Used where necessary to provide the requested service; opt-in may not be required where law permits. |
| Functional / preference | Language, region, display and other optional preferences. | Consent or settings controls where required. |
| Analytics / performance | Usage, reliability, errors, traffic and product-performance measurement. | Activated subject to applicable consent requirements. |
| Advertising / marketing | Campaign measurement or personalised marketing if SYENU elects to use such tools. | Not activated without required consent where applicable. |
4.Strictly necessary technologies
These may support authentication, session continuity, CSRF protection, rate limiting, fraud detection, routing, security and consent management. Blocking them may prevent core functions from working.
5.Analytics and diagnostics
SYENU may use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand aggregate website usage, crashes, errors and customer journeys. Non-essential analytics will be subject to applicable consent rules.
6.Third parties
Hosting, security, analytics, support, identity, fraud-prevention or other providers may set or access cookies or similar technologies where needed to provide services to SYENU. Specific vendors may change over time.
7.Preferences and consent
Where required, a cookie banner or preferences tool will allow users to accept, reject or manage non-essential categories. Choices may be changed later where the Platform provides preference controls.
8.International visitors
SYENU may adapt cookie banners, default settings or consent choices based on jurisdiction. Availability of a website to a visitor does not mean that trading Services are available in that country; country eligibility is governed by the Supported & Restricted Jurisdictions Policy.
9.Browser controls
Most browsers allow cookies to be deleted or blocked. Blocking all cookies may affect authentication, security and Platform functionality.
10.Retention
Session cookies may expire when a browser session ends, while persistent cookies remain for a defined period unless deleted earlier. SYENU will avoid retaining identifiers longer than reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.
11.Personal information and cross-border processing
Cookie and device information may be personal information, particularly when linked to an account, device or IP address. It is handled under the Privacy Policy, including cross-border processing safeguards.
12.Updates
SYENU may update this Cookie Policy as technologies, providers, supported jurisdictions or legal requirements change.
